Dr. Cavell completed her post-doctoral training at the Addiction Institute of New York, and worked for many years at the Center for Motivation and Change in New York City
. She has expertise in evaluating and treating addiction using evidence-based treatments.
Dr. Cavell is aware of the unique challenges, joys, and pressures of being a teenager in Los Angeles. In addition, her background in addiction allows her to make assessments about the role that substances may be playing within a constellation of other difficulties.
